Proving when it comes to art, he truly is the cats meow, the charity auction of 'Catwoman' by painter Alex Ross has just closed raising $3550 US for the Saved Whiskers Rescue Organisation. One of Alex's favourite causes, Saved Whiskers specialises in the rescuing of abused, abandoned and homeless cats and kittens.

The fundraiser still has another life left though, Ross also asked fans whose budget couldn't stretch to include an original from the fan-favourite painter to donate directly to paypal or to Saved Whiskers Rescue, PO BOX 1674, Voorhees, NJ 08043. Overall a truly brilliant result, for a very worthwhile cause - and a great kick-start to the true spirit of Christmas!
