IT'S TUESDAY - IT'S THE CRUNCH

Four shots of news to round out the week that was, assembled right here when it comes to THE CRUNCH.
  • He's been captain of The Enterprise and led The X-Men against Magneto, now actor Patrick Stewart is set to receive his most prestigious honour yet, when he's knighted as part of the Queen's New Year's Honours list. More...
  • Good news for Looney Tunes fans; looks like Marvin the Martian is getting his own feature film. The not so good news; they want it as a mix of live action and animation. More...
  • As James Cameron's Avatar rakes in the worldwide box-office moolah, word comes that Steven Spielberg (whose making his own motion-capture film with Peter Jackson; Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn) has named Avatar "the most evocative and amazing science-fiction movie since Star Wars." More...
  • The Rocketeer's always been one of my top 'comic flicks' - how it differs from the source material of the late Dave Stevens' I'm not sure. However, over at the ISB, they've shown how 're-colourist' Laura Martin's safe hands, have added to the layouts of the original, to create something pretty close to heavenly. Check out this clip from IDW's The Rocketeer: The Complete Adventures hardcover, to see what I mean.
