Hinted at in the 'Best Comeback' award, Jonathan Hickman breathed new life into the Fantastic Four, with cosmic concepts and bang-on characterisation.
NADS '09 BEST WORD BALLOON OR THOUGHT BUBBLE MAKER:
While other writers were off concocting Blackest Night's and never-ending Dark Reigns, Jimmy Palmiotti made a massive impact in 09 by making comics that are just flat out fun to read. Jimmy's Supergirl strip within the pages of Wednesday Comics the best example, it was a light-hearted oasis that saw the 'Maid of Might' hilariously try to control her wayward super cat and dog.
