IT'S TUESDAY - IT'S THE CRUNCH

Four shots of news to round out the week that was, assembled right here when it comes to THE CRUNCH.
  • Thought having his arm ripped off by Prometheus was as bad as it got for Roy Harper? Think again. At Titans Tower they've a post from the comicbloc forums, of one fan who has ideas on what Prometheus will do for an encore in the final pages of Justice League: Cry For Justice. With the latest issue of Titans backing him up, this link is rated 'Spoiler'. Jump

  • Following in the footsteps of Vertigo and Marvel Comics, Image Comics will be re-offering the first issues of 10 of their biggest hits, between March 31 and April 28, priced at only one measly buck. From Spawn and The Walking Dead to Witchblade and Chew, check out the full list on their blog to see how many your loose change can grab you. Jump

  • Over at Firestorm Fan, Shag has an amazing two part interview with Gerry Conway, the legendary writer who co-created the likes of Firestorm, Killer Croc and The Punisher, and wrote the infamous Death of Gwen Stacy in his run on The Amazing Spider-Man. The honest answers and insights from "the Geoff Johns of the 1970's" are well worth checking out. Jump

  • Finally, sad news, Marvel is pulling the plug on X-Men spin-off S.W.O.R.D with #5. While I'm one of the guilty who didn't check this series out despite the oceans of critical acclaim it swam in, any title that puts Beast in the spotlight is a winner in my books. In recognition of a job well done by the creative team involved, here's one more look at the kick-arse cover from #3...
