ANDY KUBERT'S BAT-PIRATE AND CO. SWING INTO CMYK

Some art needs to come with a safety warning and a free bag of smelling salts, in the hopes that some kind Samaritan will revive you, after the awesomeness of said artwork knocks you out like a light.

Andy Kubert's covers for the upcoming mini Batman: The Return of Bruce Wayne were hot enough when I posted them up in black and white, but now with a little bit of CMYK dripped all over them, they are another thing entirely... see?

For Grant and Andy's creative process behind each era of Batman, including the era's they would have liked to have added, check out the great interiew with the folks at IGN.

  1. Oh my freaking god, that art is gorgeous.

I've never seen pirates and Batman look so slick and dynamic (and I can't believe I put "pirates" and "Batman" in the same sentence)!

  2. I know what you're saying Carmen - those covers are one jaw-dropping set!

Here's hoping Andy has more 'Bat-work' in his future.

    Thanks for the comment!
