SCREW IT I'M KEEPING THE NINJAS: Marvel leads Daredevil into the Shadowland

When Norman Osborn decided to take the rest of the Marvel Universe to hell in a hand-basket, Matt Murdock decided the Kitchen was staying put. Using his new found leadership of ninja clan The Hand, as Daredevil, he placed the neighbourhood into his own form of martial law - and now that Osborn lies defeated, Murdock's decided the ninja's aren't going anywhere.

Enter Shadowland, a stand alone 5 issue mini-series starting in July, by current Daredevil writer Andy Diggle (The Losers) and artist Billy Tan, which will pit the Man Without Fear against the likes of Wolverine, Spider-Man, Ghost Rider and Iron Fist, as Marvel's street-level heroes try to show Matt his own scales of justice are no longer as evenly balanced as they once were.

While Daredevil #508-511 will look at how the average joe of Hell's Kitchen views having ninja walk the beat rather than NYC's finest, Shadowland will see a battle for Matt Murdock's soul. As Daredevil not only confronts the challenge of turning The Hand into a force for good, but also the Kingpin, who steps in to aid the likes of the Punisher, while still amassing his own power-base frombehind the scenes.

Will 'Hornhead' be corrupted by power? That's the fun part, with Daredevil, unlike shinier heroes you just can't be sure. What you can rely on though is Matt's latest adventures have been pretty isolated, but Shadowland will put him right back in touch with the Marvel U, though fist, foot, broken bones and even more battered morals.
