99% Fluff Free Comic Con: The new slimmer Amazing Spider-Man

Got that Spider-sense tingling yet? Marvel has announced that as of November their thrice monthly Amazing Spider-Man will drop back to twice a month, making the launch of its “new era” even more affordable and accessible to fans.

It’s not just the frequency that's getting a trim either. With the launch of the Big Time story-arc in issue #648, the team of writers gets pruned back to the talented Dan Slott, with artists Humberto Ramos, Marcos Martin, and Stefano Caselli providing the eye-candy.

Balancing out the slimming process, the page-count is increasing to thirty per issue, including eight-page back-up strips - the first going to the revamped Spider-Girl. While Big Time gives Peter a career, it spins Spider-Girl out into her own series, with spider-rouges Carnage (a new lady Carnage) and Osborn getting their own mini series each, in October and November respectively.
