MAKING A MARK: Dominique Fam

Every Sunday, Making A Mark features one of the insanely talented artistic folk, currently living up large on the pages of Selection is simple; search for a visual character, pick the greatest visual, then give it's maker a little brag spot right here on IADW.

Plastic Man by Dominique Fam

For one of DC's less prominent heroes, ol' Plastic Man sure has a large volume of fans, if the art on deviantART is anything to go by. With all the hoopla lately over Wonder Woman's new duds, I thought this piece by Philippine artist Dominique Fam was right on the money.

Dominique's digital portfolio has an amazing amount of professional, life-like art, with the odd tangent to render comics leading ladies (Spider-Woman and Elektra to name two) and of course Batman.

Take this piece for example; a homage to the cover of Wonder Woman #1, Fam, changes the setting to Apokolips, Diana's weapon and the soldiers to Darkseid's Parademons, to create an equally as iconic fantasy image.

To explore his full portfolio, either visit Dominique on deviantART or right here on blogger.

  1. I love the top photo. Very well painted and very in line with what Plastic Man is like.

  2. Yeah Jimmy, it actually made me laugh out loud when I saw it. Still until the 'new' Wonder Woman and Plas are in the same place at the same time, I won't be ruling it out!

    Thanks for the comment!
