Having trouble remembering Iron Man 2 beyond Scarlett Johansson's role as the Black Widow? Trust me you are not alone.

While the armoured Avenger's sequel hits on DVD and Blu-Ray next week, over at SuperHeroHype, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige confirmed they are looking at plans to let the Widow cast her own web across theatres world-wide. The catch? “The Avengers comes first.”

(Looks at clock, looks for Avengers, looks at clock, looks for Avengers....)

  1. Good they are starting with the Avengers movie before Black widow movie..I see Avengers movie as the biggest win/fail movie ahead for marvel if it they do it right it will be one epic movie if it goes the other way round it will sink the superhero genre.

  2. ya know if i was walking along the Golden Gate bridge with my best friend and i got an offer to spend a night with Scarlett in return for having to push my buddy off the side to his death i'm sorry to say i would do it. i just wouldn't have any choice in the matter.
check it out this guy contacted me last night with some 3-D rendering he made of ROM that he wanted me to post. it was pretty cool but i felt like it needed some fine tuning so i work on it in photo shop first. this guy's name is RUSH just like the band.

  3. Thanks for the comments folks!

I think you are right IFF - I think apart from Nolan's next Batman film, Avengers will determine allot of things for comics and Hollywood.

@David - well as long as you have probable cause I'm sure it will all be fine ;)

  4. For what it's worth Dan i would do that to you. i mean who else do i know from New Zealand and who else is going to keep running this awesome blog. but just so you know anytime you want to come out to visit the San Francisco Bay Area let me know. we've got so many wonderful attractions here such as Alcatraz, Fisherman's Wharf, The Golden Gat . . er i mean The S.F Museum of Modern art and so on.

  5. This movie would never sell. Scarlet isnt exactly Black Widow material in my opinion [she only rates because she was the only female Avenger in the movie, so she had to come out good compared to the men]. All she can really do is pout - and Marvel and Hollywood are both kidding themselves if they think yet another 'kick-ass woman doing it for the feminists/girl power/yak yak' will give them a hit...have any others of that ilk worked? Remember all that gossip about Jinx [Halle Berry from the Bond movie] getting her own movie? Didnt happen. And Michelle Phieffer's Catwoman was supposed to get her own movie...didnt happen.
Ten years ago, my friend Jem [whos a big 'Alias' fan - the tv series, not the comic book] recommended Jennifer Garner for the role. She wouldve been perfect, but she seems to have dissapeared [Garner, that is, lol].
My sister is named after the delightful Miss Romanoff. Just sayin'.

  6. Thanks for the great comments Karl! Ah Michelle's Catwoman.... still as awesome in my eyes all these years on as she was when I saw her on the big screen. 'I don't know about you Ms. Kitty, but I feel mmmm so much yummier'.
