THE ROAD TO KINGDOM COME: Superman Street Art You Dare Not Stand On

Mark Waid and Alex Ross' DC epic Kingdom Come has been around for so long now, I think it's safe to say even the dictionary has started to define the term 'beatdown' with the cover to this it's 4th issue.

That image of a stern-faced smoking Superman is epic and you know be you Darkseid or door-to-door salesman, if you see this, you are five seconds away from having your butt handed to you in a way you ain't ever gonna' forget.

Then you see the below and you know you are five seconds away from flat-out cool;

Wow - just look at that talent. To think this was probably sadly left to wash away in the rain, makes me thankful photographer Sam Javanrouh was around to snap it for his amazing online daily photographic diary so more folks could appreciate it's power.

The comments on Sam's diary name the artist as Chalkmaster Dave, a guy known for his sidewalk art around the streets of Toronto, Canada. And I mean, when you can make chalk do that, well you would become known wouldn't you?

  3. Thanks for the comments guys. One of my mates is a photographer, and was showing me this Photographic Diary as a cool way of doing a blog, when this image popped up.

    Getting over not being able to grab a digger, scoop it up and laminate/seal it somehow to display it, I figured the least I could do is make it world famous in IADW :D

    Thanks for the comments!
