MOMENTS IN COOL: My Birthday Bash

Today folks is my birthday, which means a few years ago three wise men and a very hungry donkey gathered around my Mother awaiting my arrival (Apparently some dude had a similar scenario a few hundred years prior - but I'm fuzzy on the details).

So in lieu of a decent post, here is one of my top scenes from one of my top creative teams ever - Grant Morrison and Howard Porter's JLA. The Huntress gets some laugh-out-loud help tackling the Flash of the future, from a charcater that has been sadly missing from the spotlight of the DCU - Plastic Man, as only he can. Enjoy!

  3. Montressor and Iphiginiah (the Mastiffs) send "birthday barks", but, then again, those two will bark at/for anything. Happy birthday tomorrow (it's still Sunday afternoon in not-so-sunny SoCal). Oh, and beware the donkeys! Trust me--I know these things...

  4. Happy Birthday Dan! What a blessed event it must have been for your mother, but I'm wondering...did these "wise men" say things like "Snap" "Crackle" and "Pop"?

    Just wondering.

And Dave, any planning of any trip to Mexico will be including me. This is non negotiable. I'm a decent lookout. And really good with a radio. Not to mention donkeys.

  5. Happy Birthday Dan.

And if you're going to party in Mexico with Dave, you kind of deserve what you get. Seriously, I'm sure he'll take good care of you. I'd take Random's advise and take her with you. I'm sure she would come in handy as a DD. I'm not sure I want to know what she's alluding to with the donkey thing :P

  7. Happy Belated Birthday!
    By now you celebrated already!
Hope you avoided any donkeys and had lots of fun and, obviously, gifts.
    Big Hug!

  8. Thanks heaps - everybody! What an awesome list of messages to come back too.

While I debate putting IADW into larger type for my new aged corneas to read, I'm looking into the costs of a Tijuana getaway. Seems pretty dodge in parts but hey what doesn't kill us right?

Actually Random, the three wise men said 'Daniel son - wax on, wax off' 'Do or do not. There is no try' and 'To me my X-Men'. Apparently that J.C fella had other more serious peeps show up at his, but I'm cool with that.

  9. Dan! Happy belated birthday! Sorry I missed it.

I hope it was fantastic! And a new Alpha Flight comic shipped the week of your birthday! It can't get any better than that! ... unless it didn't ship to your part of the world yet. Then that's totally uncool and you should postpone your birthday.
