MAKING A MARK: Olga Ulanova

Every week, Making A Mark gives an insanely talented artist a little brag-space right here on IADW. This week, it's the turn of Olga Ulanova - a female American artist, who's igniting her online gallery by defining the term 'less is more'. Check these two examples out;

With DC looking to return Barbara Gordon to Batgirl (and walking) status, this piece illustrates just how iconic the original is.

So simple and effective. While everyone loves Robin, what I wouldn't give to see Marvel's Spider-Woman done in the same style!

For more of Olga's illustration work and eye for design, visit her online gallery right after this wee jump.

  1. I am one of those that will like seeing Barbara Gordon back as Batgirl. Still, I hope she won't loose what made Oracle such a fine character. (it wasn't the chair)
    She was always an inteligent, loving character and deserved to have her role back.

  3. Thanks guys - glad you both like them too!

    Aliera - I agree completely. I did love her as Oracle, and thought it was comics best lemons into lemonade story, but as Batgirl she was the best. If DC is going for forever Iconic versions of characters she's the only choice.
