HOW THE RESIDENT EVILS SAVE MY BACON IN MARVEL VS CAPCOM 3

Flashback to Marvel's Secret Invasion and I was cursing Skrull over-saturation. Today, Super Skrull is my key hope in hell of beating Galactus, in Marvel vs Capcom 3: Fate Of Two Worlds.

While his patent pending tenderiser doesn't quite soften 'hard mode' enough, my daily attempt to topple ol' purple boots is made easier with the marksmanship of Chris Redfield (Resident Evil) at his side.

While I could balance out my team with the addictive additions of Hulk, Dante or Storm, for me the only other can be Jean Grey. Not because I need a pure hero in the mix, but simply because watching her turn all 'Dark Phoenix' on my foes has become my latest vice (sorry Coca Cola). Check out her ultra awesome meltdown for yourself, here...

  1. I don't think I've even tried playing as Phoenix in that game yet. I will now though. Not impressed with my former go-to girl Storm. I don't like any of her special attacks. Seems like quite a few of them depend on where on the field your opponent is standing.

  2. It's a bit hard Craig - as her power literally builds, so at first she can take a bit of a beating, but build it does, and when she snaps... well it's pretty much game over for whoever is on the other corner.

If only she'd do it in front of Galactus!

  3. Galactus is a pain in the ass. I really liked Arthur with him, but it's mostly for softening up the big guy. I can't get him to survive the whole battle. It's that fireball misfire that always gets me. I can fire off 10 shots in a row, even alternating forward quarter turn for this weapon, backward quarter turn for another. But miss that one shot and that's the fatal mistake every time. I always have to go to my reliever to finish the game.
