COVER SHOTS: The Best From IDW Publishing's December 2011 Solicitations

Talk about the Grinch who stole Christmas! Guess what IDW are doing to mark the festive occasion - killing Optimus Prime - in a one shot no less! While my money is on Ironhide to fill the void, before we collectively cry into our eggnog, here are the four best covers of IDW's December offerings to maintain our holiday cheer.

COVER OF THE MONTH: PHIL JIMENEZ - STAR TREK / LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES #3 No smarty, that isn't the interstellar Two-Face. It's the Klingons meet the Khunds, and you don't want to be the folks sandwiched between them when they do. Wait, that's the Legion and the Enterprise crew? Oh well, was nice knowing them.

CLOSE CONTENDERS: Santolouco - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #5, John Romita - John Romita’s The Amazing Spider-Man: Artist’s Edition, and Photo Variant - Snake Eyes #8. All the Joe books in December have these awesome toy photo variants. What a cool idea, reminds you of doing the same thing on Christmas day all those years ago!
