IADW MOVES TO AUSTRALIA THIS OCTOBER

For thirty odd years New Zealand has been awesomer then awesome should be aloud to define, however, time has come for me to check and see if any other spot on the globe comes close - starting with Western Australia, the place I will call 'home' from October.

What my change in countries will mean for you is pretty minimal, IADW will continue to pump out the posts daily and if I'm skilled enough, you won't even notice I've jumped the ditch in the background.

Unlike my favourite Australian in comics, Owen Harkness (top right), it might be a while before I have the old boomerang throw down to a fine art, but I'm sure at some point I'll give it a try. Owen, the second Captain Boomerang was another awesome legacy DC character cut down before his prime. If you're in the dark as to his story, check out latter issues of the Nightwing era Outsiders to see what I mean!

  6. Thanks Dave - the to-do list is as long as my arm but I'm workin my way through it! Luckily been a kiwi I don't have so much process to go through to get into Oz as other countries!

Random - if you guys did that not only would it be hard for me - I don't know what we'd manage to talk aboot. ;D

  8. bein' on the border as I am ur sumthin, I can do the Canadian accent, the French Canadian accent (thanks to Dad for the accent of him), the ol' faithful Downeastah theah Chummy, and, well, less of a Downeastah (kind of a mild Boston, my usual). I'm good for comic relief, little else.

I hope the move is for something good (following the woman of your dreams, new job, promotion, etc...) Again, good luck to you.

  9. Thanks again Craig - it's great to have your support. The move is for a change in lifestyle location as much as anything. I've never lived overseas and always wanted to but just kept putting it off.

The other weekend a friend and I had a chat a pretty honest one at that, and I just decided to draw a line in the sand and do it.

And Random - Oz will have all sorts of new brews to talk over!

  10. I applaud you. I don't know if I could do that (I know I couldn't, we call them deadbeat dads here in the states). Best of luck to you Dan. Sometimes life needs a kick in the ass like this. My wife tells me I need one every day.
