SALES PITCH: September 2011's Top 6 Comics Plus The Placings Of The DC 52

Like Batman thrashing the goons there, in September DC bet Marvel. However, with 51 out of 52 new series' launches happening in that month, you'd have to admit if that didn't happen, DC would be in a hell of a pickle. So you can see where your pick of the DC 52 books landed in the top 100, I have their full placings below, warning: you might be surprised at the outcome.

Still, marinating in their success, DC made a clean sweep of September's Top 6 - Marvel's closest encounter was Fear Itself #6 at #8.
DC's lead over Marvel was 5.16%, based on Diamond Comic Stats, and in the newly elected senate, Dark Horse retained the spot of publisher #3.

To mark the changing of the guard, the Top 6 are running down the left of this post and shake out like this;

THE TOP 6: 1 Batman #1 2 Action Comics #1 3 Green Lantern #1 4 Flash #1 5 Superman #1 6 Detective Comics #1

MY THOUGHTS: Seeing Superman and Batman sitting at the top just seems right huh? While the true test will be in 6 or 12 months time, for now with all September's 51 titles inside the Top 90 (Justice League #1 was #1 in August), that's got to go down as one hell of a win.

So you can see where your picks landed, here's the 51 titles and their sales spot (left of title), picking up from #7.

  2. Hey Jason- It sure was! I love how Johns addresses fan Aqua complaints actually in the story. Very cool and talented at the same time.

    As for Reis, well what character doesn't want to be drawn by him?

    Thanks for the comments!
