COVER SHOTS: The Best From Dark Horse Comics' May 2012 Solicitations

May just happens to be the month of my birth, so I'm looking forward to seeing what presents all the publishers put forth for the fifth and finest month of the year. Dark Horse starts the May 2012 solicitation season off the right way, with a Darth Vader centred mini-series, and the return of both Nexus and ALIENS! Of all their covers running amok in May, these four smell the sweetest;

Moody and atmospheric, just like the original ALIEN hits, Sam Keith nails that haunting vibe in one eye-catching image. Better hope the glass doesn't crack!

Dark Horse says: Unstoppable juggernaut of comics greatness? Unbeatable, unbelievable value? You be the judge as another incredible issue of Dark Horse Presents hits shelves!
This issue is packing a brand-new Aliens story by Chew’s John Layman and legendary artist Sam Kieth, the return of Jim Valentino’s Normalman and Dean Motter’s Mister X, and last but not least, the reemergence of Mike Baron and Steve Rude’s intergalactic fighting force, Nexus!

  1. I particularly like the storm trooper on the lizard. Very nice.

  2. You know what Travis, that was actually the one I had to toss up between with the alien-in-a-can cover. Has a real Frank Frazetta feel to me - and that lizard's face! Just awesome stuff.

    Thanks for the comments!
