MAKING A MARK: Dennis Salvatier - The Comic Book Vector Art Show Stealer

Twice a week, Making A Mark gives an insanely talented artist some IADW brag-space. Today goes to Dennis Salvatier, an American vector art wizard, making powerful posters out of the comic world's finest. 'Like who?' you query - How about Bats and Spidey for starters...

Either of those could easily be movie posters (and I hear each is in one sometime soon - fancy that!) I crave how arachnid-ee Spider-Man's pose is, he actually looks like a creepy crawly (Remember to click to enlarge folks)!

In a sweet way to draw followers to his blog, Dennis offered sketches to those who subscribed for the cost of just $1! You can't even get gum for that these days! This Daredevil number landed on my radar, perfectly showing the fun of the character.

In the same costume colours, but actually in colour, Harley Quinn strikes a pose. More villains need mallets. Make it happen people!

The simplicity, strength and colour of this wee number almost make it seem like an unseen panel from Frank Millar's That Yellow Bastard story arc, in the pages of Sin City. I think of all the art I have showcased on this blog, if I was to pick one to frame for my walls, this would be it. Just wow.
