MORE THAN RADD: L.E.D. Lightsuit Turns Snowboarder Into 'Silver Surfer' (Video)

When fashion photographer and filmmaker Jacob Sutton took off to the South-East of France for his latest photo-shoot, no one dreamed he'd be doing it outdoors in temperatures averaging -25C!

His subject; Artec pro snowboarder William Hughes, but with a twist. Sutton placed William in a John Spatcher custom made design, a L.E.D.-enveloped snow-suit. The result; a surreal, luminous figure carving up the night and the French Alpes, much like Marvel's Sentinel of the Spaceways, The Silver Surfer. Just watch and see.

Says Sutton of the three night shoot, “I was really drawn to the idea of a lone character made of light surfing through darkness. I've always been excited by unusual ways of lighting things, so it seemed like an exciting idea to make the subject of the film the only light source.”

  1. Mesmerising! Don't know how the fingers operate a camera at -25!

  2. I know what you're saying John! Me I'd be setting the camera to auto and sitting by the fire back at the lodge, but then hey, what do I know?

    Thanks for the comments!
