There's an awesome line in the movie Predator II that states "You can't see the eyes of the Devil till he come callin'". Right now in comics, no character is opening more eyes than Daredevil.
Mark Waid's lighter take on the character is burning like gasoline, and making it hotter is the art of Paolo Rivera.
Not only do they make a comic an experience all comics should be, and a blind hero actually feel like a blind hero, they makes for an issue 10 teaser that actually teases too.
Daredevil #10 is released this week from Marvel Comics.

Man, I cannot get enough of this comic! Love this take on Daredevil. I read DD for twenty-two years straight. I quit during Bendis' run, but Waid has brought me back to the book!

Hey Shag - thanks for the comments! I too share a similar tale. Reading DD since the mid-80's there are few comics I wish I'd set fire to the money I spent on them rather than purchase, but the Shadowland event really took that award.
ReplyDeleteAfter it's kick in the gut, I wasn'ts ure how my favourite Marvel male could survive, but Waid and Rivera equally have exceeded all hopes! More folks need to read this book!
