MAKING A MARK: Daxiong And The Art Of A Woman And Her Dragon

Twice a week, Making A Mark gives an insanely talented artist some IADW brag-space. Today goes to Daxiong, one of the powerhouse artists of Chinese and European comics, and his range of prints which marry the ladies of DC and Marvel with their own Oriental pet dragon. Believe me, amazing doesn't cover it;

The colours, the detail and the all round composition, make each piece an artwork you would be afraid to touch! Zatanna here is magic, and these two ladies are just as spellbounding!

Writer Grant Morrison really unearthed a treasure trove when he dusted off Emma Frost in the pages of New X-Men. Wonder Woman however is as legendary fighting this creature as she is the Medusa or Zeus himself! Now for my personal favourite;

I honestly can't recall if I have seen a better Black Widow image!

 What do you think?  Not only is Daxiong's website right here, you can also get a special off ordering three of the above prints right over here. Which one is your favourite? Let me know in the comments section below.

  2. Ha! My pain threshold might not be up to this level of detail Craig - awesome idea though!

  3. Gotta love and have that Wonder Woman one, and the Black Widow print. When my sister was born in 1971 we called her Natasha after we saw the Widow in an old Avengers comic. Natasha was quite an exotic name back then!

  4. Beats mine Karl, I was named after an Elton John song. Great song but you know a comic themed one could've been better. 'Thor', 'Colossus', heck does Reed Richards really even use 'Mr Fantastic' anymore? ;)

    As for the prints - they are definitely worth framing. You'd hate for this level of detail to get damaged!
