TRICKSHOT: The Hawkeye #1 Preview

He's propped up the West Coast Avengers for years (and if you ask him, the East Coast branch too), now this Wednesday, Hawkeye, fresh from one of the world's most successful films, gets another shot at his own series, with writer Matt Fraction and artist David Aja on hand to guide his aim.

Under an amazing variant cover by Adi Granov, will the interior's Immortal Iron Fist creative team score the points needed to make this arrow fly? Click to read the lettered preview below and find out.

  1. i wonder if the artist who did the cover had a model or photo reference to work from? it looks too perfect to have been done free hand even by a very talented artist. especially in regards to the articulation in the right hand. drawing hands well is much more challenging then most would think.

  2. speaking of photo realism paintings and well illustrated hand articulation i decided to post that Dr. Strange vs Dire Wraith piece early.

  3. Good point Dave - ol' Adi has done some amazing covers in his time, so I wouldn't put it past him to have done it from scratch, but a good model to draw from is never a bad thing either. Awesome image either way.

    Thanks for the comments!
