RANDOM WORK OF WOW: Alessandro Bocci's Namor - The Sub-Mariner

Sometimes you stumble across a portfolio where the artist only has a couple of comic based pieces, other times there can be just one work so brilliant, you'd risk being stoned to death by fellow art lovers for putting something else beside it. These are Random Works of Wow, and illustrating the point this week is Alessandro Bocci with Namor.

Placing Namor the Sub Mariner on the cusp of the perfect storm conveys what a force of nature Marvel's King of the Seven Seas is. Who needs a trident when you can show this much power?

Insane level of detail and rendering means this European penned portrait won't be taking a dive anytime soon! A force for evil or one for good, Namor and his ankle-wings are always ready to fight!

  1. I love the just a little touch of blue in the water. That just made it for me. That and ticked off look on Namor's face. You can never make Namor look happy, it ruins the picture. Love this, Dan.

  2. Take that big Kahuna! Who else could ride the perfect storm? None other than Imperious Rex himself, the Mighty Submariner. Nice find Dan.
