THE CARBONITE HAN SOLO LIGHT SWITCH: To Turn On, Just Flick His (Cough)

Star Wars fans are a pretty dedicated bunch, in fact there's not an object in sight they can't put brains and energy into turing into Darth Vader or that little trash receptacle on wheels, R2D2. Etsy seller WickedStudio is one of them. Except his homage features the 'no I don't like vegetables' looking Han Solo, encased in carbonite. What is it? A light switch cover plate. A $40 light switch cover plate, and the flick is purposefully designed as Han's... well,... just look.

UL approved and all, I can tell even if you think the idea below pa (not me - I actually think it's genius), you'd still flip the switch just to have a giggle, as would everyone who saw it on the walls of your Death Star or house. Or you could just stand there flicking it all day, saying "Think of Leia (flick). Think of Jabba (flick). Think of Leia (flick). Think of Jabba (flick)..." The options are endless!

 What do you think?

  1. i like it but did they really have to have it so the switch it's self was Han's dick?

  2. Its nothing new...its being known for me to be turned on when my switch is flicked.
Or even brushed against, its instinct.

  3. Some instincts even carbonite can't freeze huh Karl? Dave, I see where you are coming from mate, but somehow I think it's the joke mileage that comes from it's positioning that will generate this guy sales.

Until the gold bikini Leia version comes out with strategically placed lightbulb dimmers...

  6. It would have been awesome as just a light switch cover, but this is hysterical. Mostly because I can already see the doubletakes of anyone that flips it on and then notices what they touched.

  7. See? it's a hit! who would've thought the world of light switch covers would create such stiff competition? I only hope flivking the switch repeatedly doesn't cause it to blow.

Me, I'm never watching that scene again. This photo will keep springing to mind!
