RANDOM WORK OF WOW: Domino By Vincent Vernacatola

Sometimes you stumble across a portfolio where the artist only has a couple of comic based pieces, other times there can be just one work so brilliant, you'd risk being stoned to death by fellow art lovers for putting something else beside it. These are Random Works of Wow and illustrating the point this week is Vincent Vernacatola with Domino.

Okay, so I'm having a 'X-Force has taken my mind hostage' kind of day. Sill I think you'd agree, it's not Vincent's choice of character so much as how well his artistic style suits Domino that really makes this piece a stunner. The cross-hatching, ink blots and violent colours all give this merc a beautiful yet dangerous appeal.

What do you think?   Sound off below. View more Random Works of Wow here or to see more of Vincent's art, click here.

  1. this is some of the coolest fan art you've featured in a long time Dan. it kind of reminds me of Bill Sienkiewicz but in a way it reminds me even more of the art style for that comic series called Kabuki by David Mack. you know it?
speaking speaking of cool fan art head over to the ROM blog when you have some time i just posted a coloring job that even rivals my amazing accomplishments it'll get you jazzed to keep at that Beta Ray Bill piece you're working on.

  2. Thanks Dave - glad you liked this work as much as I did! You're right about the David Mack link too. I discovered Mack' might with art in reverse. It was his stint on Daredevil that led me to Kabuki.

As for ROM you might want to check this site out Monday...
