SWEET AS: The Best From Marvel Comics' October 2013 Solicitations

When we Kiwis find something we like, we say it's 'Sweet as'. From the New Warriors in the pages of Nova to Infinity, when I'm looking at the best and new releases from Marvel Comics for October 2013, these comics here make the 'Sweet As' grade:

 COVER OF THE MONTH: RON GARNEY  THOR: GOD OF THUNDER #14 

Ron Garney is one of those pro's who never slips. This image of Thor riding into battle on some fearsome stead belongs on people's walls, if not spray-painted on the bonnet of some wicked car!

Marvel Says: The Wild Hunt has begun! As Malekith the Accursed continues his bloody rampage across the Nine Realms, Thor finds new allies to aid him in the chase: A Dark Elf sorceress! A gun-toting Light Elf! A gargantuan Mountain Giant!   1. Thor is always my pick for number one cover guy. Close behind is Nightcrawler, but you don't get as many of him. You're right Dan, it does belong on a wall. Mine. Right next to that giant Kirby one. :D You can never have too many Thors.

  2. Spoken like a true Chris Hemsworth fan Random. Did you know he was a regular in Home and Away for ages? You might not have it in the US but its an Australian soap that has gone big in the UK especially about a surfie beach town.

    As for Thor comics, judging by these solicits, as we head towards Thor 2, there sure will be a few to chose from!

  3. I did know that he was on that, but I've never been able to find the show around here. *sigh* You Kiwis have all the luck.
    I did just rent the new Red Dawn, though, so hopefully that will tide me over.
