Mondays. They are worse than Dr Doom and after a heavy one, it can be a little hard to get the drum pumping again for the week ahead. As a former DJ, each Monday I dig into my collection, and chuck up a hit nodding to comics' best.
This week, it's the theme tune to the live-action TV series Super Gran, written by comedian Billy Connolly. Even as a kid I used to dig that someone had slipped in a character like X-Man and Defender Iceman, along with the usual global icons of Superman, Batman and Robin.
"Stand back Superman, Iceman, Spider-man, Batman and Robin too.
Don't wanna cause a ruckus, with BA Barracas?
Well, I've got a match for you.'"

Supergran - ah that brings back memories. I thought it was only a British made prog so am glad you all got to see it in other countries.
ReplyDeleteThat theme tune sure was catchy. But then so were measles until immunisation.
Thanks Karl! I thought you might be one of the few who remembered it. Here it was on just when I got home from soccer. Not knowing about rights etc, and just running on the name, I kept waiting for Brainiac to show up, or for her to wear the 's'.!
ReplyDeleteBilly Connolly, well he's just funny on heaps of levels - measeled or otherwise ;)
