Splash pages, you gotta love 'em. A blank canvas where the artist can hit you with a large dose of illustrated 'wow'. This week, a book I'm loving re-reading at the moment; Cable & Deadpool. Fun, full-on stuff written by Fabian Nicieza, the interiors done by the Capcom lovin' UDON were just sensationally good. Here on board the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier, a new team steps forward to hunt the mercenary duo.
Now those are some astonishing X-Men! Makes me wish Beast had been a playable character in all those Marvel Capcom games. I bet he was at least on the nominees list. Do yourself a favour, track down Cable & Deadpool #6 (and number #7) so you can see how this father vs son X-showdown went - your eyes will thank you for it!
