RANDOM WORK OF WOW: Gabriele Dell'Otto's Black Panther

Sometimes you stumble across a portfolio where the artist only has a couple of comic based pieces, other times there can be just one work so brilliant, you'd risk being stoned to death by fellow art lovers for putting something else beside it. These are Random Works of Wow and illustrating the point this week is Gabriele Dell'Otto with Black Panther.

Now Galactus knows I could fill a blog on this man's talents alone and my fan ravings over them, but of all the pieces of his art I have collected (and believe me that folder runs pretty deep), this one has to be my favourite by a landslide.

Dell'Otto's trademark airbrush style, the ghost panther in the background and those bricks all show the jungle's come to the streets in one massive dose of 'mean'.

  1. nice, but his Dr. Strange piece is still better. especially after having added some Dire Wraiths to it :)

  2. Thanks Dave, but I'm still placing my money on this one. Dire Wraiths are always good though! ;)

  3. Wow...just wow! Now I have "Black Cat" by Janet Jackson playing in my head. Nice;)

  4. Good choice Dale. When I was a DJ that was one of my go to songs to solve an almost empty dancefloor. That guitar hook and Janets sultry voice really saved my bacon.

  5. Oooh. Pretty. Seriously stunning detail. But what else is new? Love this one.
Dammit. Now that song is stuck in my head too. But I just keep hearing the cat roar on repeat.

  6. You mean Eartha Kitt Random? Or mind you that roar was more like a Purr :)
