EAT MY SHORTS DAYWALKER! Del Toro's Simpsons Intro Brings Blade To Springfield

Today in the United States, the 24th Treehouse of Horror Simpsons special goes to air. Twenty. Fouth. As if you didn't feel old enough on the back of the fact Fox has just renewed the global phenomenon for an overwhelming 26th season.

To help fans stay on the couch and not go running for the nearest fountain of youth, the annual episode's altered opening sequence for tonight's show was done by the overly imaginative Guillermo del Toro.

Featuring Blade, The Invisible Man, Hellboy and his own creations from Pans Labyrinth (or close approximations of them), the several month 'build' homages the Mad Magazine art of Will Elder, Harvey Kurtzman and Mort Drucker. Meaning it is packed with as many references as possible. Check it out in full here.

  2. I'm picking up someone new each time around Random - it's awesome! Here's hoping they let del Toro do a full episode soon!
