WHEN FALCON'S TAKE FLIGHT The First Captain America: The Winter Soldier Trailer

Chris Evans as Steve Rogers is back, and in true Ed Brubaker fashion, the trailer for the movie based on the writer's iconic run on the source comic material, also stars Scarlett Johansson as the Black Widow and Anthony Mackie as the high-flying Falcon.

With Robert Redford as the Head of S.H.I.E.LD., Alexander Pierce, stealing the line of the teaser for Captain America: The Winter Soldier; "To build a better world, sometimes means tearing the old one down... and that makes enemies", whether it's jumping from Helicarriers sans-parachute, Nick Fury or love life teases, it all makes for one pretty sturdy first trailer.

Now that's a catch! While Cap's uniform is even close to the Marko Djurdjevic designed Steve Rogers outwit worn in the likes of Secret Avengers, that shot of The Falcon taking flight has to be the show stealer for me. It's about time this hero was given wings to a bigger audience!

 What do you think?

  1. I was hoping you'd snag this and post it. The first Cap movie was my fave Marvel film, and I've been looking forward to its sequel. I totally didn't know that Redford was in it--wow! Definitely a feather in its *ahem* cap.

  2. Glad you had the faith in my snagging abilities CF! True story, I knew the trailer was out and power cut hit the neighbourhood. YouTube embed doesn't work on ipad, so had to race into a net cafe and get it up and live. Would Captain Planet fans go to such lengths?

  3. I feel like the guy in the Collector's comic. In between comic book movies that look so awesome everything else feels like filler.
I'm so glad ScarJo is back in this one. Yes, everything else looks brilliant, Falcon is going to rock, and I always love seeing a shield tossed about, but her Black Widow makes every movie better.

  4. I reckon so too Random, plus she suits the Cap side of the Avengers a bit more than she suits Iron Man's, so it's a good fit. At least until Sharon Carter comes along.

So Dave, did you like it?
