NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL A SPLASH PAGE: Ghost Rider Proves Only The Dead Know Brooklyn

Splash pages, you gotta love 'em. A blank canvas where the artist can hit you with a large dose of illustrated 'wow'. This week, Ghost Rider drawn by
the artistic Spirit of Vengeance himself; Mark Texeira.

If anyone can draw the Rider as well as the Kuberts did, it is Mark. You can't tire of the way he drew that blazing skull, the jacket and the bike - it still looks as wicked as ever.

And speaking of wicked, look at that insane perspective! You can't see a shot like that and not want to know more, which is exactly how a good splashie should be.

While it's some super power to be able to drive a motorbike (supernatural or other) one-handed up the coil of a bridge, Ghost Rider does it all to punish the fashion taste of one Spider-Man fan. If he'd worn a Ghost Rider shirt all would've been fine. Learn the lessons people.

  2. I love that Sabretooth mini King - I have the picture of Creed with Logans' face and claws behind him as my mobile wallpaper - I think it might be one of my top comic images ever. Glad you liked the splash!
