NOW THAT'S A SPLASH PAGE: Be Warned Aquaman

Splash pages, you gotta love 'em. A blank canvas where the artist can hit you with a large dose of illustrated 'wow'. This week, a massively awesome splashie by Steve Epting, or the one character I hope more than other gets his own series in 2015; Namor, the Sub-Mariner.

Now if the urban legend of Marvel not promoting heroes they don't own the movie licenses too is fact, Namor probably won't float the solo title boat while Universal still tread water with the movie rights to his name.

Still, after huge roles in Avengers vs X-Men, Ed Brubaker's Captain America and Jonathan Hickman's Fantastic Four to name but three, it is time one of Marvel's first creations got to remind audiences of his pulp depths as only he can.

  1. It is a pretty splash page (hehe heh). But... um... remember that green alien guy, Kip, from Futurama? The helmets kind of remind me of his head.
    Just a little bit.
This in no way reflects on the coolness of the story.
Probably just my lack of sleep.
