ABLE TO BUY LIQUOR Japan Gives Godzilla 'Official Resident' Papers

To be honest, I f I visited Japan and didn't see Godzilla laying waste to Mothra, Fing Fang Foom or Voltron, I'd feel kind of mislead. Now in a move to acknowledge and address the foundations of that problem, the land of the rising sun has recognised Godzilla as an official resident over 60 years after his creation.

Now as we wait for customs here in New Zealand to do the same to Gandalf, America's Captain America, and England's Judge Dredd, the above official papers translate to:

Name: Godzilla
Address: Shinjuku-ku, Kabuki-cho, 1-19-1
Date of birth: April 9, 1954 (the year of the release of the very first Godzilla film)
Date of becoming a Shinjuku resident: April 9, 2015

Reason for special residency: Promoting the entertainment of and watching over the Kabuki-cho neighborhood and drawing visitors from around the globe in the form of the Godzilla head built atop the Shinjuku TOHO Building.

Previous visits to Shinjuku Ward: 3 times; Godzilla ('84), Godzilla vs King Ghidorah ('91), Godzilla 2000 Millennium ('99).

 What do you think?
