SALES PITCH: The Top 6 Comics of July 2015

It's a bittersweet note that the Star Wars comics never got the kind of attention they do at Marvel, when they were over doing unsung brilliant stuff at Dark Horse. Guess that's Disney power for you though. Secret Wars #4 retained the events hold on the top spot, leading Marvel to almost wipe DC out of the Top 6, save for Batman. In terms of unit share for the month, Diamond has the top three as: Marvel 41.59%, DC 24.30%, and Image 10.72%. Now for the comics!

THE TOP 6 COMICS FOR JULY 2015: 1) SECRET WARS #4 2) Star Wars: Lando #1 3) Civil War #1 4) Star Wars #7 5) Batman #42 6) Darth Vader #7 - Full stats after the jump.

MY THOUGHTS: The big winner has to lie just outside the top six, Archie #1 at spot 7, backed by writer Mark Waid and Saga's Fiona Staples. When was the last time one of America's oldest publishers ranked that highly? Now that has done what a relaunch is supposed to do, and here's hoping it stays high for a little while longer. Us redheads need more press.

  1. I think I missed Lando some how so I will be at the comic book store tomorrow to make the save. I've been watching Star Wars Rebels it's been real good and Carissian has shown up and did his thing twice. If your a Star Wars fan Rebels is must see.

  2. Hey OA! You're a welcome sight back on these pages! I'm not sure if Rebels has made it this far south yet mate, but if it does I will deffinitely give it a whirl.
