ARES LOOKS LIKE ARES AGAIN: DC Rebirth Creative Teams Revealed

Unveiling the creative teams of the initial DC Rebirth line, the publisher packed in some stunning calls, noticeable absences, new faces and return to glory moments for both costumes, characters and creators. While the pre-52 Wally West, and any Wildstorm character count among the unseen, they only leave hopes for the future, in amongst books packed with instant hit-moments like Superwoman by Phil Jimenez and the return of Ted Kord to Blue Beetle.

With the New Gods, JSA, Shazam, and the Legion of Super-Heroes all confirmed to appear "once Rebirth gets underway", here are my picks of the books unveiled so far:

  1. You know for once, I'm not totally shitting on DC with this. All the teams look and sound good, although I wonder how long the whole "twice monthly" thing will last, and how long readers go for it since they'll be buying twice a month of their regular reads even if it's 1-2 bucks cheaper an an issue.

    But otherwise, I'm digging the line up of titles, and most improtanrtly for me for now, the looks. For the most part, we're getting the types of modern takes on the classic and iconic looks we should've been getting this whole time. But at least we're getting it now. I'm shocked to say, that so far so good, I'm actually pretty optimistic about this new direction. Let's hope it stays this positive.
